Loons Lottery Presentation
[Friday, 14 December 2012 14:26]
When Forfar Director, Bob Charlton retired earlier this year from Merpro in Montrose, his workmates decided to carry on playing The Loons Lottery even though it means a somewhat complicated delivery and collection service. This has resulted in welder Mike Stephen, picking up a not to inconsiderable £1500 jackpot cheque in the second last draw prior to a Christmas Lottery break. Bob made the short drive up to Montrose to present the cheque and also to thank his previous workmates for their continued support.
The final draw for this year takes place on Monday17th Dec., and the tickets issued on that night will go into the first draw of the New Year on Jan 7th.
The Directors of Forfar Athletic take this opportunity to thank all of the local community who take part in the weekly Loons Lottery as it not only remains an integral part of the Football Clubs fundraising, but also continues to be of great assistance to the local Clubs and Organisations who act as agents. A special word of thanks also to the volunteers who turn up at Station Park every Monday night to assist with the Lottery draw.
