Forfar Athletic v Alloa Athletic Postponed

Following discussions with the SFL this fixture has been postponed. No new date has been agreed at present. It is now a case of fingers crossed that the weather relents and we get back in action at Somerset Park on the 18th of December.

As most supporters will realise there is no chance of this Saturday’s home game going head.  The Station Park pitch is still covered with a blanket of snow, nearly 20 inches in deep in places, with the access road to the stand etc still not negotiable.

Although a slight thaw is forecast over the weekend, it a massive and prolonged one that will be required to get rid of the snow mountain not only at the park itself but within the vicinity of the ground.

Like many other club’s this early blast of winter is a major financial headache for the Loons with no home match income due now to stretch for an eight week period since the Peterhead game to our next scheduled home fixture, the local derby against Brechin on January 2nd 2011.
