Forfar Athletic’s second longest serving player Chris Templeman has left the club by mutual consent.
A terrific servant to the club since signing from East Fife in the summer of 2009 from East Fife, Chris made 232 starting appearances in competitive matches as well as coming on 36 times from the bench in Forfar colours.
In that time he netted 68 goals.
His best season came in 2011/12 when he netted 19 times from 39 starts.
His first team starting opportunities have been limited this season and following discussions with Gary Bollan, Chris has decided to pursue his playing career elsewhere, in all possibly still in the county of Angus.
‘Sanny’ who began his senior career at Stirling Albion, before wearing the colours of Brechin City and Morton was a fans favourite throughout his seven seasons at the club.
He leaves with the gratitude and best wishes of all at Station Park for his future both within and out with the game.
The ‘welcome mat’ will always be laid out for him on any return visit in the future to Station Park.
