Tense month ahead
[Tuesday, 29 March 2016 10:55]
The month of April is for the second year running is going to be a tense, nail biting affair for all connected with the ‘Loons.’ Sadly this time round along with neighbours Brechin City, Cowdenbeath and Stenhousemuir, we are fighting for survival at the wrong end of the league table.
All four clubs have five cup finals ahead of them starting this coming Saturday when two of the four, Brechin City and Stenhousemuir clash at Glebe Park.
There will certainly be a few ‘swings and roundabouts’ along the way with a shock result or two, such as Cowdenbeath’s win up at Peterhead last weekend a certainty.
Of course at the conclusion of it all there could be one almighty derby at Station Park on April 30th, but to the significance of that fixture, only time will tell!
Forfar Athletic officials, management and players were delighted with the outstanding level of support the club received at Ochilview on Saturday past and were disappointed to hear of problems with regard to seating arrangements within the ground.
Obviously all connected with the ‘Loons’ were also disappointed that those fans who made the trip were not rewarded with a victory that had looked within our grasp once Steven Craig had equalised, but it was not to be.
Hopefully however that backing can be maintained starting with this weekend’s visit of Petrofac Cup finalists Peterhead to Station Park.
The full list of fixtures for each of the club’s involved in the battle to beat the drop is as follows;-
