Motown Night Success

The club staged a Motown Night and Disco in the Reid Hall last night and it was voted a great success by all those in attendance.

Sadly ticket sales did not reach the level that had been anticipated but with the aid of a couple of small fund raising ventures on the night, a tidy sum was raised for club funds.

More importantly those that were present had a ‘ball.’

After a superb two course buffet meal, the company were royally entertained by Saffron, a Diana Ross tribute act making her second appearance at a club function, while the Disco music kept the dancers at full throttle throughout the remainder of the evening.

Club officials would like to put on record their thanks to Scott Murdie and Lesley for all their work in organising  the evening, with special appreciation to event sponsor Joagri of Blairgowrie and all who supported and hopefully enjoyed the night.

Next up is the club’s Annual Golf Tournament due to be staged at Forfar Golf Club on Friday of next week.
