Team News – Forfar Athletic – The home side will be minus the services of Andy Munro through suspension, but Eddie Malone returns as his potential replacement following the serving of a three game ban. Michael Travis, Dale Hilson, Dylan Easton and Russell Dingwall all picked up knocks against Ayr but hopefully all will be pronounced fit and raring to go come 3p.m. on Saturday.
East Fife – Their derby fixture at Kirkcaldy on Sunday past fell victim to the wintry weather, but their starting line up is likely to be along similar lines to their last fixture an impressive 2-1 win at Alloa a week past Tuesday. Kevin Smith and Chris Duggan were their scorers that night. Scott Allardice’s emergency loan deal from Dundee United has been extended till the end of the season.
Summary – Prior to two away games against Stranraer and Albion Rovers, many will look on Saturday’s game as a must win occasion for the ‘Loons.’ They go into the game having recorded back to back wins over Darren Young’s side, the most recent on the last Saturday of January at Bayview. The visitors however arrive at Station Park on the back of a three match winning run, Alloa Athletic, Airdrieonians and Albion Rovers the three sides who have been defeated as League One survival has been assured for the Methil men.
A tense ninety minutes lies ahead with home fans no doubt hoping for a repeat of the heroics from the recent Raith fixture.
