Summary – Quite frankly in the context of keeping any qualification hope alive, a must-win game for both sides. For the ‘Loons’ it will be their first Sunday competitive action for a few years, but on the plus side, both teams will have had an extra 24 hours to recharge their batteries after their midweek exertions.
Jim Weir will welcome back John Baird to the playing ranks after he served a one-match ban on Tuesday past, while hopefully Eddie Malone and Gary Fraser will both be in contention for a starting berth. Jim is also still working feverishly to add to his squad prior to Sunday’s match.
Like it would appear most clubs in the bottom two tiers of the SPFL, with a few exceptions, the Fifers have been very active on the signing front in the close season, eight new faces including Scott McBride released by the Athies in June, goalkeeper Brett Long who had a spell on loan at Station Park from Dundee United and former Brechin City striker Liam Watt having arrived on the scene.
Match Officials – Referee – Lloyd Wilson Assistants – Brian Templeton & Kevin McElhinney
