Summary – The ‘Loons’ will hope to complete the third quarter of league fixtures with their re-arranged match scheduled for Tuesday evening away to Dumbarton.
Word however from the west is that the pitch at the C&G Systems Stadium took a battering in extreme conditions during their game on Saturday past against Raith and although still hopeful, much will depend on the weather overnight and into Tuesday.
Stuart Malcolm’s side will be hoping if the game does go ahead that they will quickly erase the memory of Saturday past’s defeat from East Fife.
No fresh injury worries were reported after the game, so the manager will in all probability have the same seventeen man squad available to him with Michael Travis, Ryan Shanley and George Stanger sidelined.
The lack of a cutting edge cost the Athies dearly against the Fifers and the manager may well decide to freshen up the attack once again in an attempt to find the goal scoring formula.
The ‘Sons’ have moved well clear of the relegation dog fight since the original fixture was postponed just over a week ago with home 1-0 wins over Clyde and league leaders Raith Rovers, skipper Stuart Carsewell the marksman on Saturday past.
Jim Duffy’s side will, therefore, go into the contest on a high, especially with three wins already ‘under their belt’ against the ‘Loons’ this season but Gary Irvine and his teammates will, without doubt, be up for the challenge.
