Forfar Athletic are delighted that Gary Irvine has agreed to take charge of the side for tomorrow’s home SPFL League One fixture against East Fife.
Gary will be assisted on the day by Goalkeeping Coach Wayne Henderson, Fitness Coach Mark Farrell and Michael Travis.
The ‘Loons’ Directors are very grateful to all for stepping into the breach at short notice.
There were no fresh injury worries reported after Thursday’sclash with Clyde, although Roberto Nditi will need a late check once again on the foot injury which ruled him out of the Broadwood fixture.
Visitors East Fife have also had a busy few days. They lost in extra time to Morton in the Scottish Cup last weekend, drew 2-2 at home to Partick on Tuesday, before going down 2-1 to Dumbarton two nights later.
The Fifers triumphed 2-0 in the fixture between the two sides in Methil on the Saturday prior to Christmas.
All connected with the Athies know that if they are to make a genuine push to avoid finishing at the foot of the table come three weeks time, they must start winning matches on a regular basis.
Hopefully the players will respond in a positive manner to the changes that have occurred in the last 24 hours at the club and deliver the goods on Saturday.
