Forfar Athletic will play their fifth game in eleven days on Tuesday night when they face Airdrie at the Penny Cars Stadium in a re-arranged league match brought forward from the weekend, due to the Athies cup exploits.
It is the penultimate game of the 18 game campaign before the league splits into two groups of five, four post split matches beginning on Saturday week.
The ‘Loons’ go into the game five points adrift of Dumbarton at the foot of the table with as all know victories a necessity at this stage of the campaign.
Thankfully following a gutsy performance that yielded no reward on Saturday past in the Station Park snow, no new injury worries have been reported from within the Forfar camp.
BJ Coll will be an absentee however after his second half dismissal for two bookings against the Fifers, while Gary may well decide to freshen up his starting line up.
Airdrie currently sit in sixth position in the table following a bizarre 2-2 draw at Montrose on Saturday past, three of the goals credited as own goals, the equaliser for the ‘Diamonds’ coming in the 94th minute of the contest.
The Lanarkshire outfit triumphed 3-1 back at Station Park in late October.
The referee on Tuesday night is the experienced Barry Cook, the kick-off once again scheduled for 7p.m.
