Fixtures
Following last night’s excellent performance and result in the Capital City, Forfar Athletic’s next fixture in the cinch league2 is a mouth watering Boxing Day clash on Sunday week at home to Stenhousemuir.
The more than reasonable band of Athies supporters at Ainslie Park were certainly given a pre-Christmas treat with not a failure in terrific all round team performance.
Football over the festive period is something that all supporters look forward to and ‘Loons’ fans are no exception to that rule.
However in these yet again uncertain times we live in, various different scenarios about the continuation of our national game abound in all media and beyond.
While the health and wellbeing of all concerned is the foremost concern for everyone in these troubled times, we hope that sport, especially the outdoor variety may be allowed to continue.
An even more fervent hope is that it will be allowed to continue with supporters present.
Otherwise is it a worthwhile product?
The variety with no fans in attendance that was endured throughout the 2020/21 campaign was to say the least unpalatable.
It is to the credit of all in the senior game in Scotland that it would appear that all fixtures scheduled by the SPFL this weekend will go ahead unlike the chaos that abounds down south in both the Premiership and EFL.
Hopefully this trend will continue and as ever Forfar Athletic through their media channels will attempt to keep supporters as up to date as humanly possible throughout.
