‘Loons’ and City hope to go ahead on Monday Night.

Forfar Athletic and Edinburgh City have agreed to play the fixture postponed on Saturday afternoon due to high winds tomorrow evening (Monday) with a 7.45p.m. kick-off at Station Park.
They are now awaiting final confirmation from the SPFL that they can proceed with this plan of action.
If the clubs are given the nod and that is almost a certainty in the circumstances, turnstiles will open 30 minutes prior to kick-off.
Normal admission prices will be charged and Forfar Athletic season tickets will be valid.
The 1984 Lounge will not be open to supporters on this occasion.
‘Loons’ officials would again like to apologise to the fans for the late postponement of yesterday’s game due to the wind factor.
Throughout the morning all reports stated that conditions would improve as the day wore on and this was in fact the case but too late to save the game.
Though not in any way disputing the match referee’s decision, which came after two inspections and lengthy discussions with the management teams of both sides, it was particularly frustrating that the League 1 fixture at Montrose went ahead by all accounts in similar if not worse conditions, while all the junior games in Forfar and the immediate area went ahead.
Thanks to the match sponsors and hospitality guests who made the best of their day in the complex without seeing any on-field action and to the supporters who enjoyed their afternoon in the 1984 Lounge, boosting the club coffers into the bargain.
