Away Double Header for ‘Loons.’

Firstly the congratulations of all at Station Park are extended to Kelty Hearts who were crowned cinch league2 champions following Saturday’s results.
Much has been made by some in the game about the financial backing Kelty receive but to be fair it is still a magnificent achievement to clinch the title in their first season in the SPFL and to do so in such a commanding fashion before the last month of the league campaign even gets underway.
Like all clubs in the league, Gary Irvine and his troops have five games left and that spell for the Athies begins with two successive away days.
On Saturday first they make the long trek to face Stranraer at Stair Park.
Then on Saturday the 9th of April as we continue our quest to cement a play-off place, we head to Ainslie Park to face Edinburgh City.
A reminder to supporters that this game has been moved from its original Friday evening slot.
Forfar then complete their season with another on paper three tough assignments. However are they not all tough ones?
That was undoubtedly summed up on Saturday past with despite the disappointment of only gleaning a point from our home clash with Cowdenbeath, we actually picked up a point on the three other teams, Kelty apart in the top half of the table.
Annan currently sitting second top of the table will visit Station Park on the 16th of the month, followed by our final away fixture at Kelty which will probably coincide with the trophy presentation, Stenhousemuir due at Station Park on the final weekend of the season.
A reminder that in regard to the First Division play-offs the order of play will be as follows;-
