Forfar Athletic v Annan Athletic
[Monday, 11 April 2022 17:59]
Following a win and a defeat from two away days the ‘Loons’ return to action on the ‘home front’ when Annan Athletic visit Station Park on Saturday first.
Annan currently sit four points ahead of the Athies in the cinch league2 table and both have of course already qualified for the end of season play-offs.
However, if the home side are to harbour any hopes of moving above their visitors into the runners-up spot in the table come the end of the month, a victory on Saturday is essential it would appear.
A hard-fought tussle is a likely outcome in what is undoubtedly the match of the day in the fourth tier.
A major worry for Forfar as we head into what will undoubtedly be the ‘business’ end of the season is the injury picked up by Andy Munro in the closing stages of Saturday’s disappointing defeat in the Capital City.
There is no definite news yet with the full extent of any damage still being assessed by the medics.
More information will be forthcoming in the full preview of the fixture which will be published as usual on FAFC media outlets later in the week.
The kick-off on Saturday is at the normal time of 3 p.m.

The Refreshment Kiosk will be open as usual at Saturday’s fixture as will the Club Shop situated at the rear of the East Terracing.
Club officials are delighted that Saturday’s fixture is being sponsored by Rhona Shepherd and most of her colleagues who worked tirelessly for many years until the pandemic struck in the Refreshment Kiosk at Station Park. We hope they all have a great day and get a victory to celebrate into the bargain.
