Forfar Athletic v Stirling Albion
[Monday, 19 September 2022 21:22]
The ‘Loons’ return to Station Park on Saturday to face Stirling Albion in the re-arranged cinch league2 fixture, the match postponed on Saturday the 10th of the month following the death of the Queen.
Since then thankfully a few of the Athies injury problems have subsided and we will also go into the fixture on the back of a highly encouraging performance and end result against Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill on Saturday past.
However it has to be noted that the ‘Binos’ also had an excellent result at home to Stranraer on Saturday past.
As far as the home side are concerned and due in part to the re-arrangement, it will be the start of an almost bizarre run of fixtures.
Following on from Stirling’s visit, the ‘Loons’ will then play host to Dumbarton and East Fife on successive Saturdays.
However following the second round draw for the Scottish Cup on Sunday night, those three home games will be followed by three away games and away games they certainly are!
A trip to Elgin on league business will then be followed by our first ever visit to Kilwinning Rangers on the 22nd of October in the cup, before we head to Stranraer seven days later.
A full preview of the Stirling fixture will appear on our social media platforms on Friday as usual.
