Forfar Athletic v Stirling Albion
[Monday, 20 February 2023 14:59]
Following on the disappointment of Saturday’s scheduled cinch league2 fixture at Bonnyrigg falling foul of the ‘weather gods’ the ‘Loons’ return to Station Park on Saturday first when second in the table Stirling Albion will be the visitors.
It will be the first of three fixtures still to be played between the clubs in the closing ten weeks of the campaign, the game at Forthbank due on December 17th postponed, a similar fate befalling it when re-arranged for late last month.
That match is now rescheduled for Tuesday, March 21st.
While the Athies were inactive at the weekend, the ‘Binos’ fought back from being two goals down at Annan and a man ‘light’ to share the spoils courtesy of a 2-2 draw.
That saw them cut the points difference between leaders Dumbarton and themselves at the top of the table to three points.
Without kicking a ball, Forfar slipped to sixth in the table, but obviously with games in hand on those above.
It certainly all leads to an intriguing ninety minutes at Station Park on Saturday with given reasonable weather a larger than normal attendance a distinct and hoped for possibility.
A full preview of the match will appear on our social media channels later in the week.
The kick-off is at the normal time of 3 p.m.
