Station Park to host the Match of the Day.
[Wednesday, 22 February 2023 18:45]
Forfar Athletic and Stirling Albion will clash at Station Park on Saturday first in what is undoubtedly the ‘Match of the Day’ in the cinch league2.
Simply despite the fact that there are twelve points and four places between the sides in the league table, the ‘Loons’ and the ‘Binos’ are without doubt the form teams at present.
Ray McKinnon’s side have moved in dramatic fashion up the table from the bottom spot they occupied only three months back and are unbeaten in their last five games, four of these matches having ended in victory.
Darren Young’s side over the same period have consolidated their second spot in the league with a run of three wins and two draws.
This will be the first of three clashes between the sides before the conclusion of the campaign in early May and Albion are likely to bring the largest travelling support of the season to date on Saturday.
Forfar Athletic officials have been delighted with the increase in the home support over recent weeks, but would love to see that figure increase even further over the remaining five home games of the season, starting this weekend to give the players and staff an even bigger lift.
Recent home matches have been highly competitive and entertaining into the bargain, so a message first to current regulars at Station Park. Spread the word please or bring along a friend on Saturday.
To those in the town and immediate district who are considering coming along to the game for say their first visit of the season.
Please make the effort come 3pm on Saturday, hopefully you will not be disappointed.
As they say ‘Your Club Needs You!’
A full preview of the fixture will appear within FAFC social media channels on Friday.
