Elgin City v Forfar Athletic
[Monday, 10 April 2023 10:33]
Following on their long trip to Stranraer on Saturday past where what could be an important point was gained in a contest that will not live long in the memory, the ‘Loons’ are back on their travels again on Saturday first with Boroughbriggs the destination for a clash with Elgin City who are currently without a manager following the weekend departure of Gavin Price.
This followed a 3-0 defeat away to Albion Rovers which saw Elgin slump to bottom spot in the cinch league2 table, albeit with a home game in hand on the others in the lower reaches.
That outstanding fixture against Stenhousemuir takes place in Morayshire on Tuesday evening.
Back to the Saturday fixture which will be Forfar’s seventh away fixture out of the last ten and Ray McKinnon will be hoping that Craig Slater and Adam Huthinson will recover from the injuries that ruled them out of the equation at Stair Park, especially as Roberto Nditi begins a two-match ban after breaching the six yellow card threshold for a second time in the campaign.
It would appear from soundings that a reasonable number of Athies supporters intend to make the trip north this coming weekend, admission prices are as follows;-
Stand – Adults £15 – concessions £10
Ground – Adults £13 – concessions £8
Under 16’s are admitted free to Boroughbriggs if accompanied by a paying adult.
Cash turnstiles are available on the day, but tickets can also be purchased in advance through the Fanbase website.
A full preview of the fixture will appear on FAFC social media channels on Friday.
