Thanks

A disappointing performance and outcome for all of a ‘Loons’ persuasion yesterday afternoon with Bonnyrigg Rose heading home with an important three points in the locker.
Still all to play for as far as the Athies are concerned in the final two league fixtures, but no one is more aware than the manager and the players that a big improvement will be the order of the day in comparison to the last two outings which have yielded no goals and no points into the bargain.
A big thanks however once again yesterday to the Forfar fans. As expected Rose had a fair travelling support, but numbers in the home ranks were also up on previous games, with the final attendance figure of 670, the biggest home gate of the campaign.
Thank you also once again to our match sponsor Iain Bett. Iain has been a great supporter of the ‘Loons’ in many a different way for a decade or two now and is always a welcome guest at Station Park.
Iain Bett’s party chose Andy Munro as their man of the match. Charlie Brown a guest of Iain’s is pictured presenting Andy with his award.
Thanks also to the patrons who gave their support to the main hospitality packages, namely Scott Davidson & friends, David Shepherd & friends as well as George Henderson of G. Henderson Electrical Ltd.
A special word to Mike Watt of Mike Watt Construction from Kirriemuir who had a party in the Doug Houston Lounge following a very generous purchase of a special package in the auction at the Sportsman’s Dinner back in the autumn.
Finally our appreciation as well to Alison Neave and friends who were in good form at the table in the main lounge itself.
Stirling and an away fixture against the newly crowned and deserved league champions on the menu for Saturday first, followed by a home game on May 6th when East Fife are the visitors to Station Park.
