The Spartans v Forfar Athletic
[Tuesday, 26 March 2024 10:15]
Following on from their sixth drawn fixture in their last seven league outings, the ‘Loons’ head for the Capital City on Saturday first to play The Spartans for the fourth time this campaign.
In the previous three outings, both sides have recorded a 1-0 victory on home ‘soil,’ while the first clash of the season ended in a 2-2 draw at Station Park.
The 1-1 final score line at Borougbriggs on Saturday past saw Ray McKinnon’s side extend their unbeaten league run to eleven matches, but they still have not managed to fully pull clear of the bottom three sides.
Certainly with six games to go, there at present no meaningless games on the horizon for any of the ten cinch league2 sides, to be fair a similar situation to last season.
The Athies had a reasonable support backing them on a horrible day of wind and rain in Edinburgh back in early December and hopefully this will again be the case this coming weekend.
Saturday’s contest has the normal 3p.m. kick-off and a full preview will appear on FAFC social media channels on Friday as normal.
