Forfar Athletic v Cove Rangers – Match Information
[Wednesday, 17 July 2024 19:41]
Buoyed by their excellent victory over the ‘Pars’ on Tuesday night, the ‘Loons’ will approach match day three of the Premier Sports Cup and with it the visit of Cove Rangers to the Alpha Projects Stadium at Station Park on Saturday first in confident mood.
However as Ray McKinnon pointed out in his after match comments at East End Park, ‘no one should get too carried away at the early stage of the campaign.’
Paul Hartley’s side make the short journey south for their first competitive visit to the ‘toonie’ since Boxing Day of 2020 on the back of 5-0 home defeat from Spartans in their opening Group E fixture.
The ‘Loons’ look likely all going well on the registration front to have at least one more new face in their ranks for the tie, St. Johnstone manager Craig Levein confirming at his midweek press conference that the Saints had signed highly rated English Schoolboy internationalist striker Arran Cocks who would subsequently be moving on loan to the Athies with immediate effect.
Positive news again for supporters.
