Despite dominating long spells of the match the Loons couldn't make the pressure count in front of goals.  

A first-half goal from Daniel Handling and a second-half penalty, converted by Ryan Shanley, saw the Citizens run out two nil winners at Ainslie Park this afternoon. 

With Annan Athletic also losing today the Loons' gap to second remains at four points with the sides due to meet at Station Park next Saturday for the third last game of the 'normal' season. 

There was more bad news for the Loons in the 83 minute when defender Andy Munro was stretchered off with a knee injury. The extent of the damage will be assessed following a scan but in the meantime, everyone at the Club wishes Andy well.  

Thanks must go to Edinburgh City and the volunteers at Spartans FC for all the assistance provided to Andy and his family at the stadium this afternoon.
