Despite the scoreline it was an improved performance by the Loons at the Indodrill Stadium in this afternoon's pre-season friendly against League 1 Alloa Athletic.

Goals in each half for Alloa Atheltic, the second a superb curling effort from Conor Sammon gave the home side the win.

It was a familiar starting line-up for the visitors with only Roberto Nditi, Ben Armour and Kevin Hanratty new faces from last season. The second half saw the introduction of four trialists as Gary Irvine and the squad continue their pre-season preparations.

Next up in the pre-season schedule are the Washington Huskies at Station Park on Wednesday 6 July. Kick-off is 7.45pm.
