All go on the Fund Raising Front
[Sunday, 28 February 2016 14:16]
The never ending quest to raise funds to further the ‘Loons’ cause continues next month.
On Sunday March 20th Mike and Helen McEwan on the club’s behalf will be staging their Spring Scottish Spectacular Concert in the Reid Hall.
Tickets are available from Smalls Confectionery in Castle Street or contact Mike himself on 01307818765.
Then just five days later on Friday the 25th of March, we stage our Annual Ladies Dinner.
The sold out sign is almost posted yet again for this event with only one table of ten still up for grabs.
The guest speaker on the night is Dr. Tom Dymock with comedian Gary Marshall making the journey up from Yorkshire to entertain the ladies in his own inimitable fashion.
An Abba tribute act will no doubt have the ladies dancing in the aisles, but not the tables in the second half of the evening.
Moving forward, regular patrons of the ever popular it seems Sportsman’s Dinner were sent detail of the 21st annual ‘bash’ due to be staged again in the Reid Hall on May 20th a couple of weeks back.
The line up on the night is an impressive one. Impressionist Kevin Connolly well known these days for his appearances on quite a few network television shows will be making a return to the venue after an 18 year break, supported by ex English Premier League referee Kevin Lynch and the evergreen Eric Davidson.
Early inidications are that most if not all of last year’s table hosts will be taking the opportunity to re-book, so those on the ever growing waiting list may again be disappointed.
