Raith Rovers at Station Park in Irn Bru Cup
[Thursday, 18 August 2016 14:24]
The ‘Loons’ will play host to Raith Rovers on Saturday 3rd September in the third round of the Irn Bru Cup following the draw made earlier this afternoon.
Raith who have won their opening two games in the Ladbrokes Championship will provide a stern test for Gary Bollan’s side.
However the Manager and ‘Loons’ officials are delighted to have received a home draw.
Amazingly it will be the Starks Park side’s third visit to Station Park this season.
They lost 2-0 away back in late June in a pre-season friendly against the Athies. However the make-up of both sides has changed considerably since that fixture.
Gary Locke’s outfit were then back on Betfred Cup duty against ‘hosts’ Cove Rangers in mid July, winning 2-1 in a hard fought contest.
Details of admission charges will be advised following discussion with Rovers officials.
