Gary & Josh Pick Up August Awards

Gary Bollan and Josh Peters have clinched probably to no one’s surprise both the Ladbrokes League 2 Manager and Player of the Month Awards for August, a month in which the ‘Loons’ won all four of their league fixtures.

Congratulations to both, although they were the first to state that the great run of results and performances in recent weeks has been a real team effort.

That record was increased to five with victory at Annan on Saturday past, according to a few statisticians, the club’s best ever start to a league campaign.

Josh has of course now netted eight goals in all league and cup matches, while the team have now won seven competitive games on the bounce, taking their two Irn Bru ties into account.

All will be hoping that Gary and his squad can make that eight in a row with victory over Stirling Albion at Station Park on Saturday first.
