MATCH PREVIEW: Forfar Athletic v Inverurie Loco Works
[Monday, 10 July 2017 17:07]
The ‘Loons’ will enter stage three of their pre-season fixture card when they entertain Highland League opponents Inverurie Loco Works at Station Park on Tuesday evening.
The Harlaw Park outfit are managed by former Station Park boss Neil Cooper who is always a most welcome guest on his return visits to the ‘toonie.’
Gary Bollan and his coaching staff will no doubt be looking for an increase in match sharpness on Tuesday evening after what was at times a sluggish display against Formartine on Saturday.
Latest signing Simon Mensing is expected to play some part in the fixture, while Eddie Malone has returned from a family holiday.
A few of the trialists who have been in the pool for the Cove and Formartine clashes are again likely to feature with a couple of other new signings still in the pipeline prior to the commencement of league cup ‘hostilities’ at Glebe Park on the 18th.
Marc McCallum whom the ‘Loons’ hope to register as a signed player prior to that tie with Brechin will continue in goal as Grant Adam continues his recovery from illness in Ninewells Hospital.
Liam Duncan is the man in the middle.
The match has the usual 7.45p.m. kick-off.
Admission prices are again £6 adults, £3 concessions with season tickets valid.
Season tickets will be on sale in the 1984 Lounge on the night from 7p.m. till kick-off.
The lounge itself will be open from 6.30p.m. till kick-off.
A limited number of team sheets will be available within the lounge and at the Refreshment Kiosk on the night.
The Club Shop will also be open as normal at the game.
