Playing Squad Up date

The signing of Steven Anderson yesterday brought the ‘Loons’ squad numbers for the season scheduled to resume in October up to ten at present.

Goalkeepers Marc McCallum and Daniel Hoban are joined by Steven Anderson, Bobby Barr, B.J. Coll, Steven Doris, Murray Mackintosh, Ross Meechan, Scott Shepherd and Darren Whyte.

From last season’s pool, Sam McGuff, Matthew Aitken and Connor Coupe have not been offered a new contract and move on with the best wishes of all at Station Park for their future.

Jamie Bain and Callum Tapping were both offered new deals but to date have not accepted and are believed to be looking elsewhere to continue their career.

Again especially in the case of Jamie, a fans favourite for a number of seasons, both players if they do indeed decide that their ‘Loons’ career is at an end, will move on with thanks for their services and all good luck to them in the future both on and off the park.

Discussions continue with Gary Irvine and Scott Robertson in regard to their situation moving forward, while this is also the case with club captain Michael Travis who is due to get surgery later in the month on the injury sustained earlier in the year.

Rest assured supporters will be kept up to date with progress on these fronts as they will with any further new signings completed by Stuart and his management team as they prepare to have a squad ready for action firstly on the training field in six weeks time and of course on the playing front come October 6^th, the date currently penciled in for Betfred Cup action.
