Season Tickets – update

‘Loons’ Directors have decided that despite many clubs going down the road of putting season tickets on sale, that they are not comfortable at present with this concept.
In the first instance, there is no guarantee despite the First Minister’s comments two weeks back that supporters will be allowed access however limited to fixtures come the beginning of October.
This is perhaps even more debatable following incidents within the Scottish game over the past ten days which may have affected the timescale of progression but hopefully, this is not the case.
Further, there could be a particular and major problem at Station Park as there will be at other grounds of similar stature with the sale of stand tickets.
It has been generally hoped that as with pubs and restaurants, social distancing at matches might be reduced to 1 metre, albeit with masks a necessity.
If the 2-metre rule was to stay in place it would, without doubt, cut the capacity of the Station Park stand by around eighty per cent if not more!
This would obviously mean a much-restricted access policy for supporters, in fact, it would have a catastrophic effect on the number of seats available once access and exit points were also considered.
We trust that Athies supporters will bear with us in the meantime on this subject and please realise that the Station Park Directors like all club officials hope that a satisfactory remedy can be found, but there are no guarantees in these difficult times we continue to endure.
