Season Ticket – In-Person Sales Update
As has already been stated the ‘Loons’ Directors are delighted with the initial response as regards to season ticket sales after they became available online late last week.
This is despite the fact that there is no guarantee that spectators will be permitted at matches in the near future, with further guidance on this matter awaited from the Government and the football authorities.
Due to the truncated season and all the doubts that surround it moving forward, Club officials delayed making the season tickets available this term. However, they received so many enquiries from fans wishing to purchase a ticket and assist the Club in the current climate that a decision was made to forge ahead.
The Tickets themselves have now arrived from the printers and supporters who have not taken up the online option will have the opportunity to purchase and collect them personally at Station Park at the following dates and times next week.
Monday 21st September 6.30p.m. to 7.30p.m.
Wednesday 23rd September 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.
Saturday 26th September 10a.m. to 11a.m.
The tickets will be on sale within the 1984 Lounge and face masks/coverings should be worn on entry.
Anyone who selected the collection option for their tickets via the online shop can pick up their tickets at any of the above times. Tickets will be mailed out to those who selected the postage option next week.
Prices for all the reasons mentioned above have of course been reduced from last season.
An Adult ticket will cost £150
A Concession ticket (65 & over) will cost £80
An Under 17 tickets will cost £40
An Under 14 ticket will cost £25
Season tickets are valid for all thirteen home League One fixtures plus on this occasion, the Betfred Cup tie v Brora Rangers on November 10th and all friendly fixtures, again emphasising the point that at present we cannot guarantee admission.
However in the testing times we live in at present, it is the duty of Club officials to clarify as best they can the current position for those purchasing a ticket.
There is no guarantee that spectators will be admitted to fixtures this season though we all live in hope.
Season ticket holders will obviously have priority in the first instance when restrictions are lifted.
Due to social distancing measures, stand seating, in particular, will be severely restricted at Station Park. Therefore we will be unable to sell reserved seating or for that matter guarantee any ticket holder a seat even when restrictions are eased. A rota scheme may well require to be implemented. This will be an even bigger problem if as has been mentioned in some quarters, entry to matches in the first instance may be restricted to seating areas only.
As intimated above, under the current restrictions matches will be played behind closed doors and this is unlikely to change for some time. However, the good news is that our new camera system will be installed early next week. This will allow us to live stream league and certain Cup matches this season for as long as there are restrictions on supporters attending games. This live streaming option for league matches is available to all adult and concession season ticket holders as part of their season ticket purchase. In addition, the Betfred Cup Group match v Brora Rangers will be included in the package again if supporter restrictions are still in place. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer this streaming option as part of the Under 17 or Under 14 season ticket options.
In order to be able to take advantage of this live streaming offer you must provide an email address at purchase (via the online purchase process or at the in-person sales session). You must also have the ability to access the live stream via a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or mobile device and the required broadband connectivity.
Full details will be sent out soon and the necessary registration details will be provided in advance of the first home league match.
Please note that the Betfred Cup Group match v Hibernian will be available to live stream via pay-per-view and is not part of the season ticket package.
The Directors of Forfar Athletic would like to thank all ‘Loons’ fans from near and far for all their messages of support in these trying times for all football clubs and look forward to your support in the months ahead.
