Stuart Malcolm has continued the re-building of his squad on the final day that players who are out of contract or those on a temporary basis can be registered and subsequently play in the hectic end of season schedule of games by letting one player move on while another has arrived at Station Park.
Chris Antoniazzi who has failed to hold down a regular first-team starting berth since arriving at Station Park after his release by his hometown club Aberdeen has been allowed to return to Montrose on a temporary transfer for the remainder of the campaign. Chris had a spell on loan with the ‘Gable Endies’ last term.
The ‘Loons’ squad numbers have been evened up with the arrival of 21-year midfield player Michael Anderson on a similar short term deal from BSC Glasgow who finished in runners up spot when the ‘plug was pulled on the Lowland League season last week. This situation has seen a number of players from the top Lowland League sides move on temporary transfers to League One and Two clubs in the last seven days and Michael is the latest.
Michael spent a few seasons at Motherwell’s youth academy, before joining East Kilbride, moving on to BSC in the summer of 2019.
Michael will train with his new teammates tonight but is not available for Saturday’s clash with Edinburgh City having been cup-tied with BSC in round one of the Scottish Cup back in December.
He will though be a member of the squad for the visit of Peterhead on league duty to Forfar next Tuesday evening.
