Match Sponsorship/Hospitality Packages
[Friday, 18 June 2021 09:55]
Since the fixtures for the cinch league 2 were issued earlier in the week by the SPFL, club officials have received numerous enquiries in regard to match sponsorship and hospitality packages.
Most of those enquiries have centred around when we hope to be able to offer these packages to businesses and supporters alike.
Well, the brutal truth is we do not have a clue at present.
We wish we could say they would be available from August 7th but it looks pretty certain at this juncture this will not be the case.
The current limitation of only three households per table, allied to social distancing regulations that would cut the capacity of all our five lounges by at least fifty per cent are a major problem.
A bigger problem however is the fact that again due to the regulations imposed on clubs in regard to dressing room accommodation on match days, the Houston, Kennedy, Knox and McPhee lounges, as they were last season will at the start of the new campaign be utilised as the away team temporary dressing room complex.
Club officials can only ask for your continued patience.
We are considering options of bringing in temporary accommodation modules, while also exploring other avenues, but really we can only move forward on this front with any positivity once there is a significant relaxation by the Government of the overall restrictions.
Hopefully, that is not too far away.
Like many if not all SPFL clubs, Forfar Athletic now rely heavily on the revenue that matchday hospitality has provided in recent years, not forgetting the atmosphere that can be created by the patrons week by week.
The 1984 Lounge itself will also not be open to supporters at the outset of the campaign as again it is required for other match day operations at present.
It will all take time to get back to what was regarded until February of 2020 as the normal Station Park matchday experience and we can only ask the supporters to bear with us as we take it one step at a time with the so important return of season ticket holders to the stand and terracing on Saturday week a vital first piece of that ‘jigsaw.’
