Match Day Sponsorship and Hospitality Packages
[Wednesday, 04 August 2021 19:02]
Following yesterday’s major relaxation of the covid restrictions announced by the First Minister, the club have received numerous enquiries in regard to match sponsorship and matchday hospitality packages.
Sadly we are not as yet in a position to accept or start processing bookings for these ever-popular packages.
Despite the return to almost ‘freedom’ that yesterday’s announcement signalled for many, as far as football is concerned we will have to await confirmation from the SFA/SPFL as to when many of the rigid rules that have been in place over the past year will start to be relaxed before certainly, the Station Park Directors can start to firm up plans to kick-start their full match day operations.
As has been well documented we need the players, in particular back, where they all want to be in their normal dressing room environment before we can make these plans at Forfar.
It is perhaps not appreciated that the players and staff have been operating in ‘crazy’ behind the scenes circumstances since September of last year with no after training or match day showering facilities available to them either home or away just one example and all credit to them all that they have ploughed on in such good spirit.
At present all four lounges within the hospitality complex at Station Park are being used as temporary dressing room accommodation as is well known and until we can re-claim them for their rightful use, hands are tied.
Similarly, the 1984 Lounge is being utilised for multiple matchday functions, although discussions are taking place to get it opened up to the supporters on a matchday sooner rather than later.
Summing up as ever we will keep supporters in touch with any developments as soon as they come to hand, but in the meantime, we thank you for your amazing support and backing over the past year despite the obvious challenges it has brought, but as far as hospitality is concerned, we again ask for your patience going forward.
We do however look forward to seeing as many ‘Loons’ fans as possible in the stand and on the terracing this Saturday for the visit of Edinburgh City for what is the first league fixture at the old ground in 525 days if my counting is correct at which supporters will be present.
Who could ever have dreamed up that scenario in the dim and distant past?
