Season tickets will be on sale in the 1984 Lounge at the ground on Saturday morning from 10.30a.m. to 11.30a.m.but will not be available to purchase prior to kick-off.
Supporters Information
Entry to the Stand will be via the East Turnstile.
Entry to the Terracing by the main turnstile block in Carseview Road.
Unless you are from the same household or the same household ‘bubble’ please only for one more Saturday sit in seats in the stand marked with a green ‘tick.’
The South Enclosure and the East and West Terracing will be fully open. The North Terracing remains closed to spectators.
Please note on Saturday, there will be no direct access from the terracing to the stand or vice versa.
The Refreshment Kiosk will not be open at Saturday’s fixture, but hopefully will be fully operational for the fixture v Kelty Hearts on Saturday week.
Likewise the 1984 Lounge remains closed at present, as the premises are required for other match day functions, but hopefully this situation can also be rectified in the next few weeks.
Preview
The ‘Loons’ play their first home league of the campaign on Saturday when they welcome Edinburgh City to Station Park.
Gary Irvine’s side go into the fixture on the back of an opening day 2-0 success at Annan which owed much to a highly competent first half team performance in particular.
During that opening period at Galabank, two slickly taken goals from Stefan McCluskey and Scott Shepherd sealed the eventual victory.
Gary will make a late selection for Saturday’s games, a few injury worries having surfaced over the past couple of weeks.
The good news however is that Steven Anderson is well on his way back to full fitness and in fact he could find himself on the bench against the Capital City outfit.
The ‘Citizens’ who finished runners-up to Queens Park last season, but failed to make promotion through the play-off route started off their league season with a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill last weekend.
Of course Gary Naysmith’s side were in Station Park action as recently as early April, when a Roberto Nditi strike in the 122nd minute of the game for the home side saw a Scottish Cup tie head to a penalty shoot-out success for the Athies and subsequently a home televised tie in the last sixteen of the competition against Dundee United.
City had four former ‘Loons’ in their ranks last weekend, Callum Tapping and Ouzy See in the starting line-up against Rovers, Ryan Shanley and John Robertson who had loan spells with us from Hibernian and St. Johnstone respectively on the bench.
Saturday’s fixture and the clash the following week at home to Kelty will without doubt be big tests for Ross Meechan and his colleagues, but on the evidence to date, they are matches that can bring successful conclusions for what appears to be close knit Station Park squad.
As has been mentioned earlier in the week it is to be hoped that the home support will turn out in numbers to lend their backing on a day which sees some semblance of normality return to the game.
