Forfar manager Gary Irvine is delighted to have completed the signing of experienced midfield player Jamie Ness.
The 30 year old who resides in Auchterarder has been out of the game since October of last year when he left Dundee by mutual consent but is fit and raring to go having spent the past couple of months training with Motherwell in the hope of gaining a contract with the Premiership outfit.
That did not materialise and he has subsequently become the latest Station Park recruit.
Jamie was a part of the Rangers youth set up from 2007 till 2010, before signing his first professional contract with the Ibrox club.
He made his league debut on Boxing Day in 2010, going on to score his only goal for the club in a fifth round Scottish cup tie against Celtic some six weeks later.
Following sixteen first team appearances he moved south of the border to Stoke City, spending time on loan during three seasons in the Potteries at nearby Crewe Alexandria and also Leyton Orient.
In 2015 he moved on to Scunthorpe United prior to making over fifty appearances in the colours of Plymouth Argyle.
He headed back north to Dens Park in the summer of 2019 but injury was to restrict his appearances with the Dark Blues to nine in total before covid struck.
Jamie who trained with the Athies tonight will go straight into the squad for the cup tie at Raith Rovers on Saturday.
