Friendly Match win for ‘Loons’

With no game on Saturday the Forfar Athletic squad got a run out in a closed door friendly fixture against an impressive Evro Football Pro Academy side at Station Park on Thursday night.
The Glasgow based youngsters gave a very good account of themselves and in fact led at the interval with a goal from the penalty spot.
However a hat trick from second half sub Matty Aitken and a headed counter from Andy Munro saw the home side record a 4-2 victory.
The ‘Loons’ return to competitive action with a visit from Annan Athletic on Saturday week, before another two away games complete the October action.
Formartine United are the opponents in the Scottish Cup on the 23rd, Stranraer the destination seven days later in the cinch league2.
