Football Quiz

Thirteen teams took part in a highly enjoyable football quiz within the 1984 Lounge on Friday night. 

It was almost a return to normality as it was the first function of any kind that the Club have staged within the lounge for over two years for obvious reasons. 

The winning quartet with a score of 105 out of a possible 130 was Stephen Donaldson, Colin Gordon, Craig Patullo and Jonathen Smith who went under the guise on the night of ‘Three Arabs & A Sheep’.

The victory was probably all the sweeter for Craig as he triumphed over teams that included both his father and elder brother, both of whom were in contention throughout the four stages of the quiz. 

Second place three points behind the winners were the ‘Cannie Lads’ the lineup Gary and Derek Neave alongside Steven and Derek Cairns. 

Third place on 101 points went to the ‘veteran’ lineup of George and David Patullo, Lawrence Candy and Ally Nicoll. 

‘Loons’ official would like to thank all who supported the quiz either by participating, working behind the scenes or with the provision of the food, quiz and raffle prizes on the night. 

The next event on the 1984 Lounge calendar, home games apart is a tribute night scheduled for Friday, May 20th, further details are due to be announced early this week.
