Thank You
[Sunday, 17 April 2022 10:57]
A first half five star display to remember followed by consolidation in the second period and three vital and hugely deserved points for the ‘Loons’ yesterday.
We now sit only one point behind the Galabank outfit in the cinch league 2 table with two games remaining for both sides.
Before we move on to the thanks due in regard to yesterday’s contest, a wee apology for the fifteen-minute delay to the kick-off, although I think all will agree the fare that was offered up was worth the wait.
The delay was caused by the non-appearance of one of the appointed Assistant Referees which was of course out of the club’s control.
It would appear that the official concerned had advised the authorities in midweek that he was unable to fulfil the appointment, but no replacement had been allocated.
Thankfully due to the quick thinking of referee Chris Fordyce a locally based replacement was sourced and the game went ahead.
On to the thanks for the day.
Firstly to the 472 fans who gave the live televised football a miss to support the lads in outstanding fashion on the day.
Hopefully, we can count on that support in our final home game and beyond in the play-offs and bring a friend along as well!
Moving on thanks to our match sponsors Rhona Shepherd and her band of friends, all of whom worked tirelessly on the club’s behalf for many a year pre-pandemic in the Refreshment Kiosk at the park.
All the ladies had a well deserved great day out capped by the performance and end result.
Not surprisingly though there were other candidates, they chose hat-trick hero Stefan McCluskey as their man of the match.
Finally thanks to Steve Brown, Scott Davidson, Bruce Gordon and Russell Todd for organising parties who enjoyed the delights of the Station Park Hospitality Experience.
Sadly due to business commitments, Steve Brown did not make it in person but to all involved rest assured your support in this manner is much appreciated.
