Another New Face joins the ‘Loons’

Manager Gary Irvine is delighted to have completed his seventh close-season signing just 72 hours before the ‘Loons’ first competitive fixture of the campaign.

Twenty-one-year-old Joshua Jack is the latest acquisition, the attack-minded midfield player putting pen to paper on a one-year deal prior to training on Saturday.

Joshua who was listed as a trialist in the pre-season fixtures against Alloa and the Washington Huskies is a product of the Celtic youth system but moved on to St. Mirren in 2018.

While with the ‘Buddies’ he had loan spells at both Clyde and Albion Rovers, prior to being released by the Paisley outfit in May.

Joshua will go straight into the Athies squad for the trip to Stenhousemuir to face Queens Park in the Premier Sports Cup on Tuesday evening.
