Golf Day Success in the Sun
The winners of the 25th Annual Forfar Athletic Golf Day - Grip it Sip it - with Gary Irvine
The Club's 25th Annual Golf Day event took place yesterday in perfect conditions at Forfar Golf Club. The weather was glorious sunshine as forecast, the course was in fantastic condition and teams lined up around the course ready for the shotgun start, all looking to win the competition.
There can of course only be one winner and this year the winners were ‘Grip it & Sip It’. Well done to the winning team led by Greg Mather, Neill Scott, Ross Sievwright and Ryan Todd.
The second spot went to Team IGS, the third was Kingennie Holdings Ltd and the fourth place was Alpha Four.
Individual prize winners for nearest the pin were Doug Bett, Ian Flanagan, Ross Siewright and Gerry McCrossan with both Ross and Gerry also picking up prizes for nearest the pin in two and longest drive respectively. Craig Small picked up the other longest drive prize.
A huge thank you to our hole sponsors and Fiskens of Forfar for supplying the car which could have been won with a hole-in-one but sadly wasn’t to be this year.
Thanks to Forfar Golf Club for hosting us and of course all the teams that entered for making it a memorable 25th Club golf day event.
