Louise steps down from Director Role

Her fellow Board Members are disappointed to have to advise supporters that Louise Taylor intimated to her colleagues a few weeks back that she wished to tender her resignation as a Director of the ‘Loons’ as from the end of October.
Increased work commitments over the past few months have forced Louise into this difficult personal decision.
The good news however is that she will not be disappearing altogether from the Station Park scene, especially on match days.
Louise will continue to act as Company Secretary at least early into 2023 to assist with preparations for the AGM.
She will also continue importantly in control of the Forfar Athletic merchandising arm as well as sourcing match day/training kit for management and players.
Louise will therefore remain a familiar face in the Club Shop at home matches and other occasions.
Louise part of a fanatical Forfar Athletic supporting family followed in her father’s footsteps when appointed to the ‘Loons’ board in the summer of 2017 and since then has been involved in many aspects of the day to day running of the Club.
Her input and enthusiasm for the Athies will be sorely missed by her colleagues who will be putting plans in place to fill the void in other departments that Louise’s departure brings.
Chairman Scott Murdie echoed the thoughts of all on the Board when thanking Louise officially for all the time and effort she has put into the club for many a year, in fact long before she took on a directorial role.
Scott and his fellow board members are nevertheless delighted that she will still be active in Club affairs and available to give advice and guidance when required.
As time moves on a return to the boardroom table may well be a possibility but in the meantime we are sure all supporters of the ‘Loons’ cause would wish Louise all the best as she enjoys a welcome break from the ‘front line.’
