Loons’ on lookout for Volunteers

The club are looking for enthusiastic & reliable volunteers who are available on Match Days to help with the following positions.

Hospitality Hosts.
Match Day Stewards.
Media Team Member.

Forfar Athletic officials are making a plea for any supporter who feels they maybe able to give up some time on a match day to to get in touch.

Hospitality Hosts.
Since the opening of the purpose built current complex in the summer of 2014, the ‘Loons’ have been able to draw on a superb pool of volunteers who have assisted the club in overseeing the needs of match sponsors and hospitality guests at around twenty games a season.

However as time has marched on the numbers of hosts have dwindled due to retirement, health issues and other commitments.

With preparation for the new season underway the club officials involved in the organisation of the match day experience are looking for additional hosts to make sure each visiting group of guests are suitably looked after.

Obviously for those involved it means being able to give up an approximate five hour time slot on a Saturday, but rest assured you still manage to see the on field action whilst helping deliver a much needed fundraising arm of the club.

Match Day Steward.
Under the watchful eye of our Ground Safety Officer Iain Reid, our Stewards make sure every supporter can attend the match safely and enjoy their visit to Station Park.

We are currently looking for more stewards to join our safety team and all suitable candidates will be given training for this role.

Media Team Member.
We are looking for someone who is familiar with the latest Social Media platforms to join our current Media Team. Ideally this person is able to attend most home and away matches providing live updates as the action unfolds. Experience of using all social media platforms is essential for this role.

The Forfar Athletic Directors are very keen to keep the current format in place and would be delighted to hear from any supporter who thinks they may be able to assist this season coming, whether on a fairly regular basis, or as a handful of occasions a season when required.
