‘Loons’ manager Ray McKinnon has completed his fourth signing since the opening of the registration window at the start of the month with 18 year old Dundee striker Rayan Mohammed signing for the Athies on a temporary transfer till the end of the season.
Edinburgh born, Rayan is a product of the prolific Capital City ‘nursery’ Hutchison Vale Boys Club, making the move into senior football in the summer of 2022 when he joined Alloa Athletic.
Following an amazing spell when he scored thirty plus goals for the Recreation Park side’s youth team within a four month period, he made his first team debut for the ‘Wasps’ against Falkirk, being brought down in the closing moments of the match, Alloa securing a share of the points from the resultant spot-kick.
Rayan then made a much heralded move to Dundee last close season, but to date his senior appearances have been restricted to a couple of SPFL Trust Trophy fixtures for the Dens Park Under 21 side.
He is certain to provide competition for places up front for the ‘Loons’ over the remainder of the season. Rayan who comes to Forfar highly recommended by our former Assistant Manager Scott Robertson, now Performance & Development Manager at Dens Park trained with his new team mates on Thursday night and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s eagerly anticipated cup tie.
Welcome to Station Park.
