Darren Watson departs Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park

The ‘Loons’ can confirm that 20 year old forward Darren Watson has today had his contract with the club cancelled by mutual agreement.

Darren who had spent eight years learning his trade so to speak with Dundee United moved to Forfar in January of last year on a temporary transfer.

However injury limited his starting appearances in the remainder of the season to two, alongside four from the bench.

On his release by the Tannadice club last June, Darren accepted the offer of a one year contract with the ‘Loons’, but again his starting appearances have been limited, five on this occasion alongside sixteen as a sub.

Darren is likely to put pen to paper with one of the region’s top junior outfits within the next 24 hours and he moves on with the best wishes of all at Station Park for his future both within and out with the game.
