Callum Moore heads to Thomson Park

Forfar Athletic can confirm that Callum Moore our 24 year old midfield player has decided to continue his football career elsewhere and has signed for leading Midlands junior outfit Lochee United.
‘Smokie’ as he was known due to his Arbroath roots moved to Station Park in the first instance on loan from Dundee when football re-started after a second covid related break in the spring of 2021, making eleven starting appearances and one from the bench before the curtain came down on the season.
Following his release by the Dens Park club in June of that year, Callum took a wee break from the game to give full consideration to his future, but he re-joined the Athies in December of the same year.
Since then he has made a further fifty-one starting appearances in the ‘engine room’ as they say as well as twenty three substitute appearances. His only goal during that spell came in a Challenge Cup tie at Station Park against Kelty Hearts.
Since the turn of the year his first team opportunities have been limited and he has taken the opportunity of moving as did Ryan Paterson last month to Lochee.
The ‘Bluebells’ currently sit second in the Midland League table and no doubt Callum will go straight into Dougie Cameron’s squad for the trip to league leaders Broughty Athletic this evening.
Callum moves on with the best wishes of all at Station Park for his future on all fronts.
