Forfar Athletic are delighted to announce their sixth summer signing, defender Scott Reekie, subject to SFA approval, on a one year deal.

The 24 year old who is equally at home at centre back or right back will add to the Loons options in the back line.

The defender impressed Ray throughout pre-season, making substitute appearances in both open-door friendlies.

Scott started his career at Dundee United where he made one first team appearance before a short spell at Falkirk.

The defender then headed to Brechin where he made just shy of 50 appearances across two covid stricken seasons before another spell in League Two with Edinburgh City.

Most recently Scott has plied his trade for St Andrews United, helping the side achieve back to back promotions to the East of Scotland Premier division.

Manager Ray McKinnon said “I know all about Scott because he’s an ex-Dundee United player. He’s really tall, athletic, good in the air and good on the ball and he’s done very well.”

Should the SFA approve the transfer Scott will go straight in to this weekend’s squad for the Premier Sports Cup opener against Livingston.
