The Loons are delighted to finally confirm the signing of winger Arran Cocks on loan from St Johnstone.
The South African born wide man joins until January and will add to McKinnon’s options for the visit of Cove tomorrow.
Since moving to the UK from Australia in 2022, Cocks attended Brook House College, which is a renowned football academy in Leicester, and represented England Schoolboys before impressing on trial at the Saintees this summer.
On singing for the Saints and moving to Forfar, Arran said:
“I have worked hard every day and it shows that hard work always pays off in the end.
“I was born in South Africa then I moved to Australia when I was younger and then I decided at 15 to go to England by myself to pursue my dream of becoming a professional footballer.
“My loan spell will be good for me. It is good for me to get some games in and gain experience and confidence.
“Hopefully I can score some goals and create some too.”
The Loons had hoped to have Arran signed up before the start of the Premier Sports Cup but the deal was caught up in the proverbial red tape. Nevertheless, all at Forfar Athletic are delighted to have secured the youngsters services for the next 5 and a half months.
