Forfar Athletic v Clyde – Match Information
[Monday, 29 July 2024 15:02]
The ‘Loons’ could not have secured a more attractive opening day home fixture in their William Hill League2 campaign had it been hand picked!
Clyde the short priced bookies favourites for the title before a ball is kicked in anger are the visitors on Saturday first to the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park. The ‘Bully Wee’ with new financial backing this time round have made a number of significant summer signings, ten in number to date, this after at the time newly appointed manager Ian McCall brought in a near similar number in the January window. Those mid winter signings saw to it that Clyde escaped the dreaded 42nd spot in the league ladder on the final day of last season’s cinch league 2 season.
Forfar Athletic management and players though will relish the challenge that Saturday’s fixture will bring, after producing a couple of excellent results and overall relatively impressive performances in a tough Premier Sports Cup section.
Hopefully Ray will have a full squad to select from come Saturday but more of that later in the week.
Despite the fixture coming along at the height of the summer holiday season and with it a few other events taking place locally at the weekend, hopes are still high for a healthy attendance figure with the visitors likely to be well supported on the day.
Admission prices are as follows;-
Stand – Adults £16, concessions £10, under 17’s £5
