Forfar Athletic v Clyde – Match Information
[Thursday, 27 February 2025 19:57]

Four points gained from two hard fought encounters against Bonnyrigg Rose and the Spartans have given some much needed hope to all connected with the ‘Loons’ and primarily the loyal fan base as we strive to move away from the dreaded bottom spot in the William Hill League2 table. There is no doubting the fact that the management and players have a ‘mountain to climb’ to attain their ‘goal’, but if the performances at New Dundas Park and the re-named Vanloq Community Stadium are to be classed as the benchmark, the ascent has hopefully begun?
After three successive away games and two more on the ‘menu’ for next week, the Forfar players get some respite on Saturday with a fixture on home territory and what a vital one it is with Clyde the visitors to the Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park.
There is no hiding from the fact that it is a must win game for the home side. The ‘Bully Wee’ currently sit in eighth position in the league table, seven points ahead of the Athies who do of course have a game in hand.
The backing that the ‘Loons’ have received from the stand and terracing this season despite the many disappointments along the road has been ‘top drawer’. The numbers for example who have travelled to the recent away fixtures at Stirling, Bonnyrigg and Edinburgh have been a great source of encouragement to the players and now it is the turn of the home support this weekend to hopefully turn out in substantial numbers and prove yet again to be a twelfth man in the efforts to claim what would be a precious three point haul.
The match on Saturday will have the usual 3pm. kick-off.
