Thank You

It would be no understatement to say that it was a disappointing finale to yesterday’s home clash with Dumbarton, the ‘Sons’ heading back west with the three points courtesy of Leighton McIntosh’s 89th minute headed goal.
However all concerned will have the chance to make amends and get back to winning ways when Annan Athletic are our visitors this coming weekend.
Back to yesterday’s fixture and a big thank you once again to the home support for their backing and also turning up in respectable numbers, this despite the atrocious overhead conditions leading up to kick-off time.
Thanks also to our match sponsors for the visit of the ‘Sons’ our main club sponsor Orchard Timber Products Ltd. The Orchardbank based company despite changes a the ‘top of the tree’ in recent times are still and in fact have been for nigh on twenty years superb backers of the ‘Loons’ cause. Forfar Athletic officials really do appreciate this continued support and were delighted to welcome the Forfar branch manager Marc Horne and his guests on Saturday. The party chose Craig Slater as the Athies man of the match on the day.
All four hospitality lounges were also as usual full to capacity and a wee special word here to John Hunter and his mates from Dundee who were making their annual pilgrimage to support the ‘Loons’ in this manner. The group a mix of footballing allegiances have now been backing Forfar Athletic in this manner since 2010 and once again this support over such a lengthy period is not only vital but so appreciated by Alpha Projects Stadium @ Station Park officials.
Peter Kidd, family and friends occupied the Doug Houston Lounge, many a familiar face around the table, thanks again folks for your support.
The other two lounges were very much Kirriemuir orientated. Scott Neave and his most welcome group of pals were return guests in the Ian McPhee Lounge, their backing as ever most welcome, while a new name on the scene Angus Alarms occupied the Stewart Kennedy Lounge. Thanks here to Aaron Nelson for his support and all trust you enjoyed your day despite the end result.
Finally Kevin Torrie who has gives great service to the club as the kit van driver on match days in particular and a group of mates were the first party to enjoy the 1984 Lounge hospitality package this term, thanks lads and as with all ‘haste ye back.’
